How do I recover my two-factor authentication (2FA) code on Evalandgo?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Evalandgo account. If you enabled this option and can no longer find your code, here is how to sort it out.
Where to find your 2FA login code
The two-factor authentication code is not sent by email or SMS. It is generated by a TOTP app that you linked to your account when you set up 2FA.
Common apps include:
- Google Authenticator
- Authy
- Microsoft Authenticator
- Open the TOTP app you used when setting up 2FA on Evalandgo.
- Find the entry corresponding to your Evalandgo account.
- Enter the 6-digit code displayed. It refreshes every 30 seconds — that is completely normal.
If you have several accounts in your TOTP app, make sure you are using the code linked to Evalandgo and not another service.
No longer have access to your TOTP app?
If you lost your phone, switched devices, or uninstalled the app, you will not be able to log in without support intervention.
In that case, contact the Evalandgo team by sending a written request from the email address of your account. This step is mandatory for security reasons.
Support can only disable 2FA upon receipt of a written request sent from the email address associated with the account. No exceptions can be made, even over the phone.
How to enable or disable 2FA
If you want to set up 2FA for the first time, or turn it off:
- Log in to your Evalandgo back office.
- Go to your Account Settings.
- Check (or uncheck) the option "Enable two-factor authentication".
- If enabling: scan the QR code displayed with your TOTP app, then enter the generated code to confirm.
If you confirm activation without scanning the QR code, 2FA will be considered active but no code will ever be generated. You will be locked out at your next login. Make sure to complete the scan step before confirming.
